an exterior door frame member, usually surfaced four sides, rabbeted into the unexposed outside corner of the door frame jamb and flush with the sheathing to provide a weathertight seal between the door frame and structure and a nailing surface to secure the frame to the structure; the brick moulding and/or casing conceals the joint made by the windbreak and the jamb; usually deleted from the door frame; also “outside lining” or “liner”; also may apply to sill of window frame (“sill windbreak”).
