Experienced living in our designs

We have lived out of our schoolie that sleeps eight for over 30 days at a time with our 6 kids.  We built out the schoolie for the summer of 2016 in 12 days!

Matt is an avid enduro moto rider and lives from his trailer to complete the race weekends across the US.  Neil has lived remotely from the schoolie both in the ultr-urban environement working at the downtown Richmond shop as well as from locations as remote as New Zealand.  Favorite roaming spots of our staff are the New River areas of West Virginia, the Adirondacks of New York, Moab Utah, and the Outer Banks

MAKE YOUR #VANLIFE UNIQUE

The van movement in 2018 experiences a revolution as people wake up to the cyclic and defeatist paradigms of the US corporate culture and social norms. Decisions are made. Jobs are left or negotiated into remote work. Furniture traded, sold and left on the sidewalk. Leases cancelled and left. People choose to live from a mobile vehicles or tiny house for joy, eperience and to escape the rat race. If you are looking for something interesting let Gepetto build it with you! An older VW, Ford Econoline, or Chevy might be the key to getting your freedom or going on your roadtrip of a lifetime! Gepetto understands and can be the key for you to experience andpursue freedom! Yes, living on tour is exciting – and hard – but the building and budgetary process to get there doesn’t have to be. Gepetto craftsman can work with whatever budget you’re looking for that is also above our overhead. Yes, there are moments of absolute elation – but without a good base, a comfortable home – you can also go crazy.

PICURE YOURSELF IN A CUSTOM VAN OR RV

The pictures you see, the stories you see, they’re true and we have taken our six kids across country in a home-made schoolie. The pictures paint the bright image that you’d be strange not to want to take the part in. But what it’s the learning lessons from building, it and living on less, and what to do with yourself with some extra time in your day that are the bigger life lessons you’ll learn. Learn those different moments starting in our shop. There will be break downs and pouring rain that is inescapable. The character it builds in you is also invaluable. In order to understand the wonders of even the unexpected failures, you might have to plough through tedious details and frustrating tasks.

If you see this Instagram tag #vanlife then you can be inundated with pictures of hipster bikini-clad women or bearded men lying inside their converted vans by the crazy sea. #vanlife is hailed as the ultimate choice to go in country because it provides independence, flexibility and complete immersion with world. But as we know, Instagram frequently gives us the rose-tinted explanation of time. Living out of the transport is not an unusual choice of travelling in country for two reasons; efficiency and mobility. Thousands of backpackers go to Australia on the 12 month making day visas. Although the means you may get on this pass, some backpackers still make Australia very expensive. It’s easy to turn through cash, for instance remaining at hostels cost between $ 20 — $ 30 the night. Living out of the truck reduces that cost, and provides you more privacy than the 30 individual dorm. The other major fact is that Australia is utterly huge! But to put this into view:f you are reading our site and already browsing these vanlife tips you’re already on the a road to freedom; props to you for investigating and educating yourself and not rushing into #vanlife!
